A Lazy Sunday In Disney World

Slept in this morning at Saratoga Springs Resort after a late night dinner in Downtown Disney at the Ragland Road.

Cindy and I decided to try something else new, and she googled some counter services (have to use them up by the time we leave on Wednesday), and found that Captain Cooks at the Polynesian Resort had the best reviews, so we'll try that.

So we're off to the Polynesian Resort to sample the eats at Captain Cooks.

Eating at the Ragland Road

There's a great Irish restaurant just east of Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney called Ragland Road.

Once again the food was AWESOME!

I wanted to try the Guinness, so Cindy agreed to take a sip or two. I know I've had it before, but can't remember where. It was probably here when we had lunch with Karl and Terri Rosenhan last year.

The New Greek Restaurant - Kouzzina

The wait at Kouzzina was reasonable. Maybe 20 minutes at most. The Kona Cafe could learn from that. When I make a reservation, I don't expect to stand in line with everyone that didn't and get seated after everyone before me, especially if I came in time for my reservation.

That was not the case at Kouzzina. Everything from the time we waited thru dessert was great!

We started off with a Cat Cora specialty - an Ouzo-tini. Neither Cindy nor I are really drinkers, so we shared one. It was delightful.

We're on the regular dining plan this trip, so we're paying extra for things like that and appetizers at some places. (Did it at the California Grill too.)

We both had delicious entrees. Cindy had the Cinnamon Stewed Chicken and I had the Fishermen's Stew... Yummy, yummy, yummy!

Our appetizers and desserts were just as good... More of the dining experience at Kouzzina on the site, as soon as I get time to get it done...

... As for now, we're off to Downtown Disney to meet the Rosenhans and Bransons for lunch. We're shooting for Wolfgang Puck's Express.

La Nouba Is A Terrific Show

Yesterday Cindy and I took the boat from Saratoga Springs to Pleasure Island heading for the 6pm showing of Cirque de Soleil's La Nouba on the westside of Downtown Disney.

The show was terrific. So much talent. It was the first time Cindy had seen them and the first time I had seen them live (and not on tv).

We ran across a couple new restaurants at Pleasure Island but didn't get time to try them out yet - we will ;-)
