Disney World's Hollywood Brown Derby, located in The Hollywood Studios theme park, is based on the Original Brown Derby, in Hollywood.
Whether you're dining outside or inside, you get the feel of what it was like at the Original Brown Derby. I prefer inside dining myself (you know, the air conditioning, etc.), where I can look around at all the caricatures on the wall, the class and ambiance of the 1920s and 30s, when the stars of that era frequented the restaurant.
Cindy and I first dined there in December of 2008. Being almost two years ago, I can't remember what appetizers we had, or what my entree was, but Cindy is positive that she had the Spit-roasted Half Chicken.
I do remember that I tried the Grapefruit Cake for dessert. It is a Brown Derby Original, and although it was decent, I can say I was overwhelmed with delight over it.
Overall, our experience at The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant was really nice. Cindy gave it a 5-star rating, and I gave it a 4-star rating. We're going again this July (2010), and I'll put an update of that experience here then.

50's Prime Time Cafe
Remember the shows "Happy Days", "Leave It To Beaver", "Ozzie and Harriet", "My Three Sons", etc.?
50's Prime Time Cafe takes you back to that era and memories.
The restaurant is located in Disney World's Hollywood Studios Theme Park, and from the moment you walk in, you're taken back to the 'good old days'. Equipped with old furniture in the lobby, old television sets with the 1950 era shows playing on them, so you can watch the good ol' shows in black & white while you wait to be taken to your table.
Once you get to the dining area, you'll find it the 50's type kitchen furniture.
The servers make you 'mind your manners' and chastise you if they catch you doing things like putting your elbows on the table... It's great! I mean absolutely great!...

Hanging Around At Hollywood Studios
After starting the day late and having our first meal at the Polynesian Resort's Captain Cook, we took the bus to the Hollywood Studios Theme Park.
Once there, we mulled around the park, saw the Muppets 3D and then watched the Osborne lights for a while, but I got disenchanted with the rudeness of the people, so we headed toward the Tower of Terror / Rock N Roller Coaster area, and stopped at the market to grab a bite, and met up with Karl and Terri Rosenhan.
After eating at the market, (nothing to rave about), the four of us went back to the Osborne lights. The crowd had dissipated somewhat because the park had closed to only those that were staying at the resorts. It was much more enjoyable watching the lights.
We parted from the Rosenhans and went back to the Tower Of Terror / Rock N Roller Coaster area for our thrill seeking for the evening. We hit the Tower of Terror and there was no wait at all. Then we stood in line maybe about 10 minutes for the Rock N Roller Coaster.
After getting a little fill of thrill, we headed back to our suite at The Grandstands section of the Saratoga Springs resort.
Yesterday turned out to be a great day, even if we started out late.
